Lake Shore Plaza II earned the prestigious designation
from the national, not-for-profit USGBC for incorporating
numerous energy-efficient and environmentally
friendly features. Designed to “harvest” natural
sunlight, the building has sophisticated air conditioning,
heating and indoor air quality systems, water-conserving
features and other green characteristics.
During the construction
process, Stiles recycled building materials, used
wood from certified sustainable forests and sealed
the building’s ventilation system against dust.
In addition, Stiles Property Management uses only
“green” cleaning products and pesticides in maintaining
Lake Shore Plaza II.
The building also
has earned an award for excellence in construction
from the Associated Builders & Contractors
(ABC) South Florida Chapter.
A joint venture
of Stiles Corporation and WLD Enterprises, Lake
Shore Plaza II was pre-certified for LEED certification
when construction was completed last summer. With
its cost savings, productivity enhancing features,
Lake Shore Plaza II has attracted top-tier corporate
tenants including New York Life, T-Mobile and
The Florida Bar.
